Osteoporosis is a systemic bone disease characterized by decreased bone mass, increased brittle bones, and fractures. It is a degenerative bone disease in which bone strength decreases and the risk of fracture increases. Common clinical manifestations include low back pain, shortened height or humpback deformity, leg cramps or weakness of the lower extremities.
